Amy Adams and Viggo Mortensen Get On the Road

Amy Adams and Viggo Mortensen are joining Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst in the Walter Salles-directed On the Road, says Deadline New York.

The Jose Rivera-scripted film is an adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s novel, which chronicles Kerouac’s years traveling the North American continent with his friend Neal Cassady, “a sideburned hero of the snowy West.” As “Sal Paradise” and “Dean Moriarty,” the two roam the country in a quest for self-knowledge and experience.

Adams will play Jane, “the emotionally damaged junkie mother of two children and the wife of Old Bull Lee.” Mortensen is going to play Lee.
