Some of Hollywood’s brightest stars are joining forces to fight cancer. Forest Whitaker, America Ferrara, Meryl Streep and other celebrities will be taking part in a three-network telethon to support cancer research. The “Stand Up To Cancer” event will air live without commercials on ABC, CBS and NBC on September 5th. Other stars lined up to appear include Charlize Theron, Hilary Swank, Danica Patrick, Salma Hayek, Kirsten Dunst, Josh Brolin, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Aniston and Masi Oka. Among the celebrities are three prominent cancer survivors: cyclist Lance Armstrong, Robin Roberts of ABC’s “Good Morning America: and former Senator John Edwards’ wife Elizabeth.
